Complete challenges and decisions

Read the context, submit a strategy, and understand challenge status.

Read before deciding

Open the current challenge and review its description, student-visible variables, deadline, and any files your instructor references. Consider how the situation interacts with your profile.

Complete the decision

Answer every required question. Decision controls and values depend on the classroom, so do not expect every challenge to use the same form.

Submit only when you are ready. A submitted decision is normally locked.

Understand status

• Scheduled: The challenge is not open yet.
• Open: Decisions are being accepted.
• Submitted: Your decision was recorded.
• Locked or closed: New decisions are no longer accepted.
• Calculating results: SCALE is processing the class.
• Completed: Calculation is ready, but feedback may still be held.
• Released: Your result is available.

Missed deadline

Your instructor decides how missing decisions are handled. SCALE may apply defaults or a configured absent-student policy. Contact the instructor if access or a technical problem prevented submission.
