1. Introduction

SCALE LXP (“SCALE,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an educational simulation platform and this public website. This policy explains the information we process when people use the website, contact us, or participate in a SCALE classroom.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with SCALE, we may collect:

  • Account information such as name, email address, organization, role, and authentication identifiers
  • Classroom information such as enrollment, profile values, decisions, instructor content, files, results, metrics, and ledger history
  • Purchase and seat-entitlement records; payment-card details are handled by our payment provider rather than stored by SCALE
  • Support and contact-form communications, including name, work email, institution, and message
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and service logs used for security and operation

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service
  • Authenticate users and enforce organization, classroom, and role access
  • Run educational simulations and generate instructor-requested results and feedback
  • Process transactions, allocate seats, and communicate service information
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests
  • Diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse

4. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that support authentication, hosting, email delivery, payment processing, storage, and AI-assisted simulation; to the educational institution responsible for a classroom; when required by law; or at your direction. Providers may process information only for the services they perform for us.

Public contact form

Contact-form submissions are validated by this website and delivered to SCALE through SendGrid. The website does not store a separate lead record or add the sender to a marketing list. The message remains in the receiving email systems as needed to respond and maintain business records.

5. Educational and simulation data

Simulation businesses, agencies, projects, outcomes, financial figures, and narrative results are fictional educational data unless an instructor deliberately supplies real course context. Users should not place sensitive personal information in profiles, decisions, challenge content, files, or contact messages.

SCALE uses classroom inputs to generate in-app simulation outcomes and explanations. Student data is not sold or used for advertising.

6. Student privacy

Schools and other institutions determine who may participate and what classroom information is appropriate. Where required, the institution is responsible for obtaining consent and configuring use consistent with applicable student-privacy requirements. Parents, guardians, or students should begin data questions with the institution responsible for the classroom or contact us directly.

7. Security and retention

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including role-based access and organization-scoped data. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, support instruction, meet legal or contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform.

8. Your choices

Subject to applicable law and the institution’s responsibilities, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. We may need to verify identity and coordinate classroom-data requests with the responsible institution.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date above.
