Two funding paths

The same class pass, purchased differently.

A

Institution funded

A department or program purchases seats into an organization pool. Admins can reserve seats by email, import a roster, or grant access directly. Students do not pay.

B

Student funded

The instructor selects student-funded access for the classroom. Each student purchases their own one-time class pass as part of the instructor-led onboarding flow.

Pricing questions

What instructors and programs ask.

What does one class pass cover?

One class pass gives one student access to one classroom and its challenges, decisions, results, ledger history, resources, and feedback for that class.

Do instructors pay?

No. Instructors can create and manage up to three active classrooms from a free instructor workspace. Contact us when a program needs a larger rollout.

Can a department pay for students?

Yes. An institution can purchase seats for an organization pool, reserve them for known student emails, or grant them from a classroom roster.

Can students fund their own access?

Yes. A classroom may use student-funded passes. Public onboarding still begins through the instructor or SCALE team rather than a direct app link.

What happens when a student leaves?

An organization-funded seat returns to the institution pool. Student-funded access can be held for reuse within the same organization, subject to the class access rules.
