Terms of service
Last updated: August 30, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing SCALE LXP or this website, you agree to these terms and any agreement between SCALE and the educational institution responsible for your use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Educational license
SCALE grants authorized users a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended educational purpose. You may not copy or resell the service, bypass access controls, reverse engineer protected components, interfere with operation, or use the service unlawfully.
3. Accounts and classroom access
You are responsible for your account and for keeping authentication credentials secure. Classroom invitations, organization access, and student class passes may be used only by their intended recipient. Instructors and institutions are responsible for roster accuracy and appropriate classroom content.
4. Student class passes
A class pass provides one student access to one classroom under the applicable funding and enrollment rules. Institution-funded and student-funded seats may have different release or reuse behavior when enrollment ends. Payment, refund, and purchasing questions should be directed to SCALE.
5. Content and acceptable use
You retain responsibility for content you submit. Do not upload confidential records, unlawful material, malware, content that infringes another person’s rights, or sensitive personal information unnecessary for instruction. You grant SCALE the limited rights needed to host, process, and display submitted content as part of the service.
6. AI-supported results
Simulation results, summaries, and debriefs are generated for educational use and may contain errors. Instructors must review outputs before relying on them for consequential decisions. SCALE is not a gradebook, financial adviser, medical system, or source of professional advice.
7. Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Features, templates, and content may change as SCALE improves the platform. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SCALE and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Applicable institutional agreements may provide additional terms.
9. Termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for violation of these terms, security risk, nonpayment, or at the direction of the responsible institution. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination remain effective.
10. Contact
